Well Construction and Primary Containment: Design to Installation
The Cyprus SPE Section and Student Chapters of SPE/AAPG cordially invite you to the following event:
Well Construction and Primary Containment: Design to Installation
In general, the talk will cover the full well cycle & delivery and aspects of risk management during design and installation. It will give an overview of the Engineering and Project Management processes behind design decisions. In addition, the speakers will look at the design of the well and Christmas tree in two subsections and highlight the close collaboration that is needed between the wells and subsea disciplines when developing subsea projects in real life. Covering well design, hardware considerations and operations, Mr Kadis and Ms Pruciak between them have over 20 years of collective operator experience in the oil and gas industry.
Speakers’ bios:
Having started their careers together at BP, as the first graduate intake post-Macondo, both speakers have fostered a career in an environment focused on safe and compliant operations. After their early offshore roles, they selected different engineering disciplines with Mr Alexis Kadis pursuing a subsea hardware concentration while Ms Alex Pruciak specialized in well engineering.
Mr Kadis (CEng MIMechE) focused on specification, qualification and delivery of subsea equipment. During his time with BP he worked on various subsea projects and at different locations delivering manifolds, connectors and Christmas Trees (XTs). As the Eastern hemisphere’s technical expert on subsea XTs, he worked extensively with all major subsea equipment manufacturers, across all project phases and contributed to the last edition of IOGP S561. Currently he is the Business Development Manager for Fameline Oil and Gas.
Ms Pruciak is currently a Senior Drilling Engineer (CEng MIMechE) working with an operator in Ghana. She has worked internationally on a wide scope of projects including wildcat exploration, onshore and offshore development in full well delivery. She is passionate about gender diversity in the industry and campaigns to improve representation in engineering and operations.
The talk will be delivered in English and is open to the public. Please save the date:
